This initiative was a mass media field initiative in the Hebron Governorate that aimed to promote freedom of expression among the youth. The initiative included the installation of a screen their opinions on the issue of freedoms, as well as the creation of murals and the distribution of pins and banners with slogans related to freedom of expression. The initiative also included dialogues between citizens and PCPD staff and volunteers, where the importance of freedom of expression and the right to freedom of opinion and publication were discussed.
The mural in the Hebron Governorate entitled "The Coverage Continues" depicted a picture of the martyr Shireen Abu Aqelah wearing a bulletproof vest, symbolizing the importance of freedom of expression in the face of adversity. The mural at the Palestinian Center depicted raised hands holding stationary items such as papers, banners, microphones, pens, and books, with terms such as “equality, expression, freedom, justice, freedom of religion and belief, freedom of opinion and assembly and publication” written on them. The campaign's slogan was "We want to speak freely," which was also featured on the pins and banners distributed during the initiative. This message emphasized the importance of being able to express one's opinions freely, without fear of repression or censorship. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among the youth of the Hebron Governorate about the importance of freedom of expression and the right to freedom of opinion and publication.
The initiative ended with dialogues between citizens and PCPD staff and volunteers, where the discussions focused on the importance of freedoms and the importance of not stopping to demand and root them as they are in Article 19 of the Palestinian Basic Law. This helped to further promote the message of the initiative and encouraged citizens to continue to speak out for their rights and freedoms. Overall, this initiative aimed to empower the youth of the Hebron Governorate to use their voices to advocate for their rights and freedoms, and to raise awareness about the importance of freedom of expression and assembly.
Many citizens of the Hebron governance participated and joined in on the campaign, staff of the PCPD, and participants of the PCPD that are part of the project.
