Tahani Shahatit, (the first one to the right) is 30 years old and after 2 years in participating in KtK project with PCPD, her capacities and communication skills/personality has improved, and she became an activist in her village, (Al-Majd) a village to the North of Hebron. Recently, she  became a leader in a youth organization "Sawa'ed Al Ghad" in Al Majd Village. After her involvement for the second year, she quit the youth organization and became member in local council of her village. From social activist to political activist. Througout, she faced challenges since her village is close-minded;  far away from the main city and women's participation at local level could not be achieved without the support of the family. Although, she is from a small family, still it was difficult to convince the citizens in that village to accept her in the village council. In spite of all these challenges, still Tahani was able to succeed.
